RMS Threshold
For classification models, GeneXproTools allows you to choose different kinds
of rounding thresholds, including fixed and adaptive thresholds.
The adaptive RMS Threshold is based on the Root Mean Square (RMS),
which is also known as the quadratic mean. The RMS Threshold is
evaluated for each model
during evolution and, for positive raw model outputs, it
corresponds to the quadratic mean. However, for models with negative values or a mix of
negative and positive outputs, the RMS Threshold evaluates the signed sum of the squares (SSS) and
then, if the SSS is negative, it returns the negative value of the square root of minus SSS,
otherwise it returns the square root of SSS.
