By selecting the Genetic Operators
Tab, you have full access to the genetic operators used to create genetic diversity in the population of evolving models.
All the learning algorithms of GeneXproTools 4.0 use the basic genetic operators
listed in the Genetic Operators Tab (mutation, inversion,
IS transposition,
RIS transposition,
one-point
recombination, two-point
recombination, gene
recombination, and gene
transposition). These operators allow you to introduce the ideal
degree of genetic modification so that an efficient evolution could take place.
If you are overwhelmed by all these operators, please use the default values
as they work very well for all problems. If you are curious,
though, about the workings of evolution and the importance of each
operator, you can see what happens by selecting the ones you are
interested in and choosing different rates and then observe the
evolutionary process in the Run Panel.
