GeneXproTools Environment

Scoring a Model

GeneXproTools 4.0 comes equipped with a scoring engine that allows the immediate scoring of your databases/Excel or text files with the evolved model. The scoring engine of GeneXproTools uses the JavaScript code of your models to score your data. Usually a model is used multiple times to score different databases.

To Score a Database/Excel or a Text File with GeneXproTools 4.0
  1. Open the GeneXproTools file with the model you want to use to make predictions.
All models evolved by GeneXproTools can be used to score a database. The scoring process can take place immediately after the creation of the model or from existing models.
  2. On the Scoring Menu, select the type of file.
The scoring engine of GeneXproTools allows both the use of databases/Excel and text files as input for the scoring engine.
  3. Prepare your data for scoring.
Make sure that the data is consistent with the training data that was used to create the model. This means that all the data fields that were used as inputs to create the model must be available for the model during the scoring process.
  4. After filling all the relevant fields in the Scoring Panel, click the Start button.
The scoring results are saved to Excel (csv) or text files and are also shown in the Scoring Panel. For large datasets, though, in the Scoring Panel only the outputs of the first 2000 records are shown.
